Meet Our Director

Jeff Moore is the founding director of Hope Community Orchestra which was started in August 2006. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and Church Music from Hardin-Simmons University. He has pursued graduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jeff has served in a variety of positions full-time, including military chaplain, law enforcement, television news photography and production, music education, and ministry. Jeff currently works full-time on the staff of Hope Church in Fort Worth, TX where he serves as Director of Music.

At Hardin-Simmons Jeff emphasized in music history as well as instrumental and choral conducting, studying under Don Hanna, Dr. Robert Brooks, and Dr. Loyd Hawthorne. He also studied music performance on a variety of instruments including piano, clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone with distinguished soloists and professors Dr. Mark Puckett, Dr. Charles Coltman, Dr. Andy J. Patterson, and Dr. Eric Wilson.

Jeff is an avid amateur photographer and also enjoys racquetball. Jeff is married to Julie who plays horn in the Hope Community Orchestra. They have four children and live in Arlington, TX with their two dogs Patton and Jana.
